Professional oil tank disposal with certificate
An oil tank of 1000 liters or more that is no longer needed must be shut down and disposed of properly. Just one drop of oil that is lost contaminates 1000 liters of groundwater. A new tank is rarely required. In most cases, the heating system is converted to a different fuel and the old oil tank must be disposed of. After a tank has been shut down, the water management office requires proof of proper disposal and decommissioning. The remaining oil must be disposed of properly. All cleaning agents and rags used must also be disposed of as hazardous waste.
Disposing of oil tanks is a laborious task that must be carried out with expertise and the utmost care in accordance with the WHG. This work may only be carried out by specialist companies in accordance with the WHG (formerly Section 19I WHG).
